Our Exhilarating Yongpyong Ski Package Options Explained
Here at VIP Travel, we provide five options as part of our Yongpyong ski tour package. All options include the following as standard:
- Complimentary hotel/meeting point pick-up service and drop-off in Myeong-dong or City Hall
- Fully licensed VIP Tour guide
- Return Transportation to Mona Yongpyong from Seoul
When adding to the cart, you can choose from the following Yongpyong ski resort package options:
- Enjoy the Snow: Our standard option includes no extras at no additional charge. Choose this option to explore the resort, play in the snow, or watch your family and friends ski or sled without participating.
- Snow Sled Experience: This includes a snow sled rental and ticket. It is perfect for families with very young children who are not ready to try skiing or snowboarding or for anyone who wants to have fun in the snow.
- Basic Ski Package: This option includes all essential equipment and is an excellent choice for complete novices or first-time skiers. Essential equipment includes ski poles, boots, and skis. In addition, we provide a 30-minute beginner’s lesson so that you can quickly begin making the most of the slopes.
- Full Ski Package: With our full package, you get all of the essential ski gear you’ll need, as well as ski suite rental. This includes ski poles, boots, skis, and a ski suit (ski clothes). You will also receive a two-hour skiing lesson and a ski lift pass to try all the slopes you feel you can handle. This is the one to pick if you already know the basics and have skied previously or wish to embark on a more comprehensive ski break than the above two options.
- Ski & Stay Package (Min 6 People): This is our 2-day, 1-night ski package option, which includes ski equipment rental (poles, boots, skis) and a ski suit (ski clothes). It also includes two ski lessons, a ski lift pass, and a one-night resort, hotel, or pension stay.
* Please note that all options exclude meals, snowboards, sleds, and goggles. However, if required, these items can be rented from the resort for a small fee.
Yongpyong Ski Resort from Seoul (with VIP Pick up and drop-off service)
By joining us for this unique ski tour in Korea, you will find yourself traveling with us to Yongpyong Resort. The resort in Yongpyong is only 150 kilometers from Seoul, or 186.9 kilometers away by road. The journey takes about two to three hours, depending on traffic.
After experiencing the culture, heritage, and technology in our vibrant capital city of Seoul, we will depart for the scenic mountain views and fresh air to begin your Yongpyong ski package adventure.
We offer all our guests a complimentary hotel pick-up service and drop-off at Myeong-dong or City Hall in Seoul. Meet us at your hotel in the morning (or at your nearest subway station if this proves difficult), and we will return you back to Seoul at the end of the day. Would you like to try skiing for the first time as part of your chosen ski trip package in Pyeongchang? Included in our Basic Ski Package, we have an optional 30-minute lesson. This 30-minute lesson focuses on the very basics for first-time skiers. We’ll cover all the essentials and give you some tips to get going. Meanwhile, our Full Ski Package option builds upon the 30-minute lesson, giving you an informative lesson of up to two hours with your guide and ski instructor.
Yongpyong Ski Season
Yongpyong is located in the Baekdudaegan Mountains. These gorgeous mountains were the backdrop for many popular Korean dramas, including Winter Sonata and Goblin (Dokkaebi), filmed at Yongpyong Resort. The resort receives the most snowfall in Korea, meaning a longer ski season than anywhere else.

You can choose to get on the bus in Myeongdong and take a 6-seater minibus. The chairs can be fully reclined and you can fully rest during the three-hour drive. The scenery is very beautiful. This is my first time skiing. The coach Crystal leads me from the beginning very patiently. It feels very reassuring, the skiing instruction is also very professional, and Crystal is very kind. It is a good experience.
